She sat again today, in a cozy café near her university, sat alone with some books in her hands and the table. No one accompany her, well, truthfully she was the one who rejected to be accompanied by her friends. She preferred to be alone.
She found it a little bit strange actually. She was never a fan of coffee, yet, here she was, sat comfortably with a cup of caramel macchiato which she believe never entered her mouth even touched her lips. She just loved the coffee aroma or it was just her excuse to be there.
Every time she visited the café, she chose to sit in the corner seat; with the dim light where she was sure no one would interrupt her, reading her favorite books. She was really doing it –reading her favorite books- until that man came and she decided to be a regular customer there. Her routine changed a bit. At first she was just sit there, took out the books and iPhone, turned her favorite music and lost in her own world. But now, she was sit , took the books and iPhone out, turned her favorite music, it was just lasted for ten minutes or some before her eyes secretly wandered around the café, trying to find a certain person.
He was the new barista. She knew it since she never saw him before. She had been observed him, secretly of course. He had misplaced teeth which formed a beautiful smile from him. He had a husky voice which could melt many girls. He had mischievous grins every time he made fun of his co-workers who his eyes disappear when he smile, or the one who really tall with the hair like a broom –her opinion.
She chose Caramel macchiato accidentally. She just blurted it out since she was spacing out; lost in his eyes as he asked her what drink she would like to order. She just heard the customer next to her asked the drink and she was simply copied her. She muttered thank you towards the lady –without her noticing- after the new barista walked away to bring her order. The coffee had never been touched or drank. It was always like that.
Today she came again, with the books, iPhone, and ready to order. As she looked up to the barista, she was disappointed. It was not him. Was his shift had been changed? Was he quit of the job? Nevertheless, she could not just go out. Her head plotted another plan. She would wait him for thirty minutes –she could wait longer if she had no plan to accompany Yoona to bridal shop. Yuri, Yoona’s sister, asked both of them to be her brides mate. If he didn’t appear she would just leave and maybe came again tomorrow afternoon.
“Kamsahabnida.” She thanked to the eyed-smile barista.
She sighed. Her books remained untouched. She pouted, thinking what actually she was doing right now. She didn’t tell anyone yet, especially Yoona –she would freak out and jumped like mad- even her brother, Seo Inguk.
She took a peek on her watch. It was just two minutes away yet she felt it had been two hours waiting for him. She didn’t sure yet what she felt right now. Was it loved like Yoona always told her? When your heart fluttered and beat faster than normal and your eyes couldn’t leave his sight? But she felt her heart thumping hard like there was thousands horses ran very fast and she felt many butterflies in her stomach and her day suddenly brighter just upon seeing his face, her coffee prince.
She was lost in her though when she heard familiar voice from someone who made her heart thumping hard.
“Here your order, miss.” He said, placing a glass of lemon tea on the table, she didn’t notice it.
She looked up and found her coffee prince was looking at her, smiling. She could feel her face became hot. She was sure she looked like red tomato. She looked down immediately, unable to have eye-contact with her coffee prince. “Kamsahabnida.” She said quietly.
She expected he left but she could sense his presence. He was still there, stood looking at her.
“I think it would better to drink lemon tea.” He said.
“Ne?” She asked, confused. Nervously, she looked up her face showed him she was confused.
“Here. A lemon tea for you.”
“N-Ne?” She looked at her drink and finally realized that it was not Caramel macchiato she ordered. “But I-”
“I think coffee isn’t suit for you?”
“N-Ne?” She was confused and in dazed.
“May I sit here?”
“N-Ne? Ah.. Y-Yes please.”
She was fidgeting, playing her hands under the table, a sign that she was very nervous.
“Am I making you uncomfortable?” He asked as she sat uncomfortably.
“A-Aniyo.” She answered immediately. Realizing with her sudden outburst, she closed her eyes tightly for seconds. “M-Mianeyo. I mean.. Aniyo.. You do not make me uncomfortable.” She said stuttering.
He chuckled.
She cursed herself for being clumsy and stuttered in front of him.
“You do not like coffee, don’t you?”
“N-Ne?”
“Why you always answer my question with ‘Ne’?” He asked and mimicked her tone.
“Ne?”
“See?” He chuckled again.
“Mianeyo.”
“It’s okay.. I just don’t know how to say if you keep answer me with ‘Ne’.”
“Ne.. I mean, arasseoyo.”
He nodded. “So… Am I right?”
“Ne?” She shook her head. “W-What do you mean?”
“That you don’t like coffee.”
“Ah.. keuge.. It’s not true or right.”
He titled his head, confused with her answer.
“It’s a yes I don’t like coffee, but I like the aroma.” She paused, took a peek as she didn’t get any respond. “Am I weird?”
He shook his head and smile warmly. “Aniyo. You’re just.. unique.. one of kind.”
“It’s okay if you call me weird.”
He quickly denied. “Aniyo.. really. I’m saying the truth.”
She didn’t convinced though. She was disappointed with her burst. She was not supposed to say that.
“I like to make goguma latte but never drink it. It’s okay if you can call me weird.” He just wanted to make her believe with his words.
She chuckled. Finally lifted her head looking at him, she say “Aniyo. It’s unique.” She chuckled again. “But goguma is delicious you know.”
He nodded, smiling. “So you liked goguma?”
She beamed. “My favorite.” She chirped excitedly. “Oops! Mianeyo.” Realizing another clumsy acts.
He chuckled. “You’re cute.”
“N-Ne?”
“Hyung!” Someone called him. They noticed the tall man was busy with the orders. Although he wanted to talk to her a little bit longer, but he was working now. He turned to the girl again. “I got to work.”
She nodded.
“You’ll come again tomorrow right?”
She nodded again. “Ne.”
“Perfect. I will make a special menu for you.” He paused, hesitant to stand up. “So.. see you tomorrow?”
“Ne.. See you tomorrow.”
Finally he stood up. Just as he was about to leave her, he remembered something. Turned his body, he offered his hand. “Jung Yonghwa, by the way.”
She blinked her eyes looking at his hand. She couldn’t believe her ears. Finally regained her composure, she took his hand nervously. “Seo Juhyeon.” She smile shyly.
He grinned, showing his misplaced teeth. “Enjoy your lemon tea Juhyeon-ssi, may I call you that?”
Only few people called her Juhyeon. Her parents, her brother, and her best friend. She didn’t mind if there was another people who called her Juhyeon, especially if it was him, her coffee prince. “Keureomyo.” She smiled shyly.
She wanted to jump, scream, or hug her man sized teddy bear tightly. She was so happy. She felt so lucky. She couldn’t believe it. Her heart thumped really fast and hard. She finally talked to him. Moreover, he promised her will make special menu for her. She wanted to call Yoona and told her everything. She was just beyond happy.
Tomorrow, they would meet again. She promised to herself that she would not embarrass herself again. Tomorrow, she would initiate many conversations. Tomorrow, she would open something new. Love.
Although she was not sure yet, at least she felt her feeling didn’t go only on one side. Although it might be started as a friend at first, best friend at first, she was willingly to walk the path patiently. Since it was him. Since it was her coffee prince.

“So, her name is Seo Juhyeon?” Jungshin asked, turned the board on the door from ‘OPEN’ to ‘CLOSE’.
“Yeah.” Yonghwa answered absentmindedly. His mind was flying with their conversation this afternoon.
Minhyuk who was wiping the last table butted in. “Finally you had gut to talk to her.”
Jungshin sneered. “I can’t believe he is our boss.”
Minhyuk chuckled.
“If I’m not in the good mood I had strangle your neck Jungshin-ah.”
“That’s why I say it now.” Junshin smirked. He walked to Yonghwa and took a seat in front of him. “So, what’s your planning now?”
Yonghwa remained silent just gave him a mysterious smile.
“Don’t tell me you’ll ask her out already!?”
“Are you mad? Of course not. I have a better plan.”
Minhyuk joined them. “Better be hyung. We had born enough with your story about your love light girl since three months ago.”
“You should thank to Ilwoo hyung for sending you here.”
“I know.” Yonghwa stood up and went in to staff room. After change into his casual shirt, he took his jacket and walked towards the front door. He was about to opened the door when he had an idea. “Minhyuk-ah.” He called Minhyuk who just rest his head on the table. “Can you pick Soojung?”
Minhyuk immediately got up and full of energy. “Anytime brother in-law.”
Usually, Yonghwa never let Minhyuk to get near to his dongsaeng. But tonight, he felt he wanted to have rest so tomorrow early in the morning, he could go to the market and get the best goguma for his love light. “Send her straight to home or I’ll never consider you as the only candidate for Soojung.”
“Don’t worry hyung. I’ll send her straight to home.”
“Where are you going?” Jungshin asked, annoyed that he would lock the café, again. Minhyuk was getting ready in the staff room, preparing his best to meet his crush.
“I’m going to GoChun” Yonghwa answered waving his hand, didn’t bother looking back at him.
